Origin and Genetics of God's Gift Strain 

God's Gift marijuana strain is a 60% Indica dominant hybrid with a strong THC content.  Generally, the strain lands somewhere between 20%-23% THC content, but there have been reports of it reaching as high as 27%. Now that's heavenly. 

Arriving on the scene in 1995, it became incredibly popular overnight and has become a household staple for medical & recreational users.  Combining OG Kush × Granddaddy Purple, it has proved to be a great benefit and some like to think that it truly is a gift from God.

Physical Form of God's Gift Strain

The buds look very similar to a furry plum or grape.  Beautiful roundish buds with a deep violet purple body that is covered with lots of tiny bright orange hairs and a generous coating of crystals that make it shine bright like stars.  You will find the odd green area resting on the outer edges.  Soft to the touch but tough to squeeze with a strong rubbery center, it is heavily dense until grinded which then reveals a softer side, though sticky.

A powerful grape aroma jumps out at you instantly with a strong fruity blend that is very pleasing.  The grape scent smells like it is fresh off the vine and is left to its natural sweetness.  There are some light spicy/earthy undertones that balances out the aroma perfectly.  The faint spice scent adds a great dynamic to the grape aroma that you are finding yourself taking multiple sniffs in order to capture its essence.

Judging by the aroma, I expected a strong grape tone.  What I got was a fresh berry/citrus flavour.  Tones of sweet berries mixed with a strong sour grapefruit sits heavily on the tastebuds but the smoke is very smooth and coats your throat & the roof of your mouth, giving it a semi numb feeling.  The sour taste remains on the exhale with a sour pine flavour that sits in the back of your throat and a sour taste on your lips from the resin left behind.

This strain can boost your mood and turn that frown upside down.  You start to feel the effects almost instantly when a warm rush is felt in your face & temples.  As it starts to pulse its way through your body, a strong sense of happiness and giddiness begins to come over you.  Any bad moods have dissipated now and you are feeling slightly energetic.  You find yourself being very social & joking around.  Moments of uncontrollable laughter are to be expected but the indica side does come out with a smooth transition and eases you down.
