Maui Wowei

The Maui Waui strain (aka Maui Wowie) is a heavily Sativa-dominant strain originating from the Maui Island as an outdoor hybrid marijuana strain. Before long, it spread across the Hawaiian island and later to the mainland of the United States. This tropical bud comprises 80% Sativa and 20% Indica and a THC level of 19%.

Maui Wowie plant grows tall (up to 78 inches high) with a relatively long flowering period. It is characterized by fat leaves during the early stages of its growth but later tends to Sativa-like leaves towards maturity. That is an indication that the plant is ready to start budding. Maui Wowie marijuana strain produces big buds with vibrant green hues and vivid orange hairs.

Maui Wowie was meant to be grown outdoors. It does best in tropical climates with fair resistance to common diseases such as mold and mildew. It also gives moderate yield when grown indoors with all conditions observed. You might need to replicate outside tropical conditions by installing a heater, extractor fan, and artificial lighting. Maui Wowie flowers after 9 weeks, producing an indoor yield of about 14 ounces per square meter and 16 ounces per plant outdoors.
